Mr Wayne Chicken

Mr Wayne Chicken is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast and General Surgeon and Clinical Director for Surgery at Basildon University Hospital.  He undertook his undergraduate medical training in Cape Town, South Africa and postgraduate surgical training in Northeast London.  His clinical interests are breast cancer, endocrine surgery and he continues to practice both emergency and elective general surgery.  His research interests predominantly relate to breast cancer and sentinel node biopsy.  He regularly reviews articles submitted for publication to the British Journal of Surgery.  He is an alumnus of the Whipps Cross Higher Surgery Course, and has taught regularly on the course since 2013.
